The Mix
I am very much looking forward to being in the mix at the upcoming group show, 'The Mix' at Enter Gallery, Brighton.
In this mixed group show, Enter Gallery brings together renowned international and UK-based artists, inviting them to create something special and unique especially for the exhibition.
'The Mix' will feature original artworks from an impressive roster of contemporary artists, including Dan Baldwin, Charlotte Rose, Caroline Chinakwe, myself (!) and many more
A Dream Within A Hundred Dreams
For my offering, titled A Dream Within A Hundred Dreams, I created 100 small, individual square pieces, which, when placed together correctly, could be viewed as one large main image. Using a variety of media including, graphite, inks, gouache paint and charcoal, I wanted each small square to be a piece of art in itself, telling its own story. During the process, some squares took shape with intricate pen work, while others would stay loose and minimal, as I drew into the abstract brushstrokes and graphite markings. Overall, the project took longer than a month to be completed, with finishing touches of 24c gold leaf in the central squares.
Fallen Dreams
Whilst creating the piece, there were a number of squares which I loved individually but felt didn't fit within the larger image when I placed them all together. Along the way I added more to this collection and they became my Fallen Dreams.
There are 50 Fallen Dreams available, 25 on my website and 25 with Enter Gallery.

The Private View will be hosted by Enter Gallery on Friday 27th September.
