New 'Pier of Lost Souls' print edition available now! October 15, 2017 19:41
'Pier of Lost Souls' was one of my first ever print runs, released a couple of years ago! Back by popular demand, I am doing a brand new Limited Edition of 50, larger in size and lovingly hand finished with iridescent copper paint to highlight details and give a shiny rust effect.
The piece re-imagines the crumbling remains of Brighton's West Pier in all it's dark majesty.

Roy's People Art Fair - 14th-17th September 2017
Candid Arts Trust | 3-5 Torrens St | London | EC1V 1NQ
Richard Berner will be showing a selection of his work at the very first Roy's People Art Fair this September. The fair aims to give artists an alternative platform to present their work whilst also creating a unique art fair experience for visitors, allowing them to interact with the artists and buy work directly from them. 60 carefully selected artists will be showing their work.
Richard has created a range of original pieces and prints for the fair demonstrating both his surreal, fine detail illustrative work alongside his more expressive and colourful paintings.

Hare and Hounds - Brighton Exhibition 2016 April 11, 2016 11:00
Viva Brighton - Cover Design November 1, 2015 00:00
Richard was asked to illustrate the November 2015, 'Creatures' issue of Viva Brighton magazine to tie in with the Exotic Creatures exhibition at the Brighton museum. The exhibition was centred around the animals that used to be given to the English royals from other countries as gifts.
Richard's cover image is a play on cartoonist James Gillray's interpretation of the Prince Regent, but twisted up, replacing his head with that of a giraffe and holding a lead to his mini pet Prince George!
The issue features a 2 page spread and interview with Richard about his artwork.
