Where did they come from?
Over the summer of 2024, Berner set himself the project of creating 100 small, individual square pieces, which, when placed together correctly, could be viewed as one large main image. Using a variety of media including, graphite, inks, gouache paint and charcoal, each small square was intended to be a piece of art in itself, telling its own story.
This is not one of those squares!
Fallen Dreams
During the process, there were a number of squares which had a life and story of their own but didn't fit within the larger image when placed all together. Along the way, Berner added more to this collection and they became his Fallen Dreams. There are 25 Fallen Dreams available online here and 25 available via Enter Gallery.
The large main original, titled A Dream Within A Hundred Dreams will be showing at Enter Gallery, Brighton from Friday 27th September as part of the group show The Mix.
