From a series of playful, rough ideas on thin poster paper, using bold and expressive paint marks. In this piece I worked into the brush strokes with white ink details. The title, 'Collectors Like To See Brush Strokes,' is a snippet of advice I received from a big London art gallery over a decade ago. Of course after hearing that, I chose to spend years focusing on the most intricate of detailed pen drawings instead.
